Service Line Warranties of America
1/5/2026

The City of Morristown has partnered with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) to offer protection to residents for the water and sewer service lines that connect their homes to City of Morristown systems. Many residents are unaware that repairs and replacements to these lines are their responsibility and are not covered by the City of Morristown, and most basic homeowners insurance policies don’t cover wear-and-tear.
It is crucial for residents to understand that participating in this program and purchasing these service plans is completely optional. You do not need to sign up for a plan, but we are making them available because these plans are a good option for many homeowners who are concerned about the potential costs associated with an unexpected repair on these utility connections that can be very expensive.
The plan is administered by SLWA, no public money is used to administer or promote the program, and there is no cost to the City of Morristown in offering these coverage plans to residents.
Residents are encouraged to review the plan details thoroughly. You may also want to check whether similar coverage is available through your homeowners insurance. One significant difference between the SLWA plans and the typical homeowners insurance option is that insurance plans usually require a deductible, while the plans from SLWA carry no deductible.
Founded in 2003, SLWA has partnered with more than 1,300 leading cities and municipalities in the U.S. to introduce repair service plans that offer homeowners peace of mind and convenience. SLWA’s program is accredited by the Better Business Bureau. For questions about this service, or to enroll, contact SLWA at 866-922-9006 or visit www.slwofa.com.
