The annual meeting was called to order by Del Voegele, Clerk at 8:30 p.m.

Motion was made by Marten Wegner to nominate Carl Krueger as Annual Meeting
Moderator. Second by Dan Morris. Motion carried.

3.
Fireman's Report 2001 was given by John Schlie ( The New Fire Chief.)
He reviewed the Morristown Fireman’s statement. He stated that the
department had 22 calls in 2001 > 3 in the city, 17 rural and 2 mutual
aided. He committed that this is the lowest number of fire calls in 5 years
in contrast to 79 total Rescue calls, the highest in 10 years. > 27 city
> 52 rural. He mentioned that the department is sending 5 people to Bio
Terrorism training, because of 9/11. The Township has one more year on
the fire contract and it will have to be renegotiated next annual meeting.

Dahle moved to except the Fire Department report as read Arnold Kuball
second Motion carried unanimously.

Minutes of the 2001 Annual meeting were read by Clerk, Del Voegele. Arnold
Kuball moved to except the Clerks Minutes as read second by Dan Heyer.
Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report was presented by Faye Golombeski, Treasurer. (Figures
rounded to nearest dollar amount)2001 beginning balance was $75,350.00.
$183,967.00 receipts, $201,242.00 disbursements, ending balance of $194,342.00
- Arnold Kuball moved to except the Treasurer's Report as is second by
Dan Heyer. Motion carried.

6.
Dan Morris gave the annual road and bridge report. Supervisor Morris
stated that the town ship saved a lot of money this year because of the
mild winter. Town roads are generally in good shape, but we may have some
major road work of rebuilding an abandon town road. Its not for certain
yet. Danny Timm made motion to accept the road and bridge report
as given. Dan Heyer second. Motion carried.

Designate:
A.
Legal Paper - Danny Timm made a motion to designate the Faribault Daily
News as the 2003 legal paper for the township. Dan Heyer seconded, no discussion
Motion carried.

B.
Legal Depository - Dan Morris made a motion to designate The State Bank
of Morristown as the Township’s legal depository, Arnold Kuball second.
Motion carried.

Set time of 2003 Annual meeting. Polls must be open from 5-8 p.m.
Proposal of Supervisors to hold next year's Annual meeting after the Polls
close, for example; to hold the annual meeting at 8:30 p.m., thus giving
time to tabulate the votes and declare the election results at the annual
meeting.

Dan
Morris made motion to have the 2003 polls open from 5-8 p.m. Annual
meeting will be held 2nd Tuesday in March at 8:30 following the close of
the polls. Danny Timm second.

Other Business > Dan Morris Informed everyone that Timm's Trucking is Annexed
to the city and the site the for the Lutheran school also has been Annexed
the city, and the Meyer's Annexation will not happen.

12.
Reminder: Monthly meetings are held on the second Monday of each
month, excluding holidays or days the Government declares no meetings shall
be held - the meeting then will be held on the following Monday.
The meetings are scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. Any change of meeting
time or place shall be published in the legal paper.

Dan Morris reported that the new Morristown Town Hall was still in the
planning phase and was expected to cost 1.8 million now. Dan Morris suggested
the township give $75,000 towards the new hall. Marten Wegner said
we want a contract of services and space we will get for our money. Carl
Krueger suggested the township put a cap on how much we give, posit ably
$100,000. Del Voegele Made a motion: That the board be authorized to negotiate
with the city for space and services up to $100,000.00 and if the figure
goes above that amount the town board will call a special meeting for the
town voters to discuss the proposal for a yes or no vote.
