    Bio
Matthew F Valentyn, Born June 30th 1982 to Keith and Diane Valentyn who now live on Cannon Lake in Warsaw MN. I was born and raised in Faribault MN, Graduated from Faribault High school in 2001, and have currently received my Certificate for my CDM from the University of South Dakota. I was married in 2003 to Sarah Ann Hansen of Faribault at Diamond Head Park in Hawaii. I worked in the construction field for 3 years for Valentyn Builders prior to taking my position at the Kenyon Sunset Home. We have a family of five, Kaylyn (7 yrs old), Gage (4 yrs old), and Lauren (2yrs old). We purchased our second home in Morristown about 7 years ago after my first home in Faribault near Jefferson Elementary were we lived prior to getting married for 1 year. I enjoy being very active and spending as much time outdoors with my many different hobbies. We are very proud to raise our kids in Morristown were you still have great neighbors and the small town feel.

Kurt became mayor in Jan 2009 and has lived in Morristown since 2006.  He was born and raised in Northfield, served nine years in the Air Force, and has worked in the public sector for nearly 8 years.  He is the father of one son, is currently active with the Cannon Valley Players, and works full time outside of Morristown in information technology.  Kurt enjoys Euchre, pool, bowling, softball, camping, hiking, walks, travel, spending time with family, and you just might see him running along one of the roads in town.  "I have always had an opinion when it came to politics, so being mayor has allowed me the opportunity to express that.  I am greatly appreciative of the opportunity I have been given and hope to continue serving all residents of Morristown."

Council membership started Jan 2009. Lisa has lived in Morristown since 2002. She is married and the mother of 2 grown daughters and one elementary age son. She is active in the Historical Society, Peace United Methodist Church and works full time outside of Morristown with persons with developmental disabilities.
Lisa loves to read, cook, go for walks, travel, take photos and spend her free time (which she has very little of) with family.
"I never really imagined myself being involved in politics but being on the council has been a great learning experience. I enjoy meeting my neighbors and the challenging issues that come up. Being the "voice" of the citizens of
Morristown carries with it a great deal of pressure. It's impossible to make decisions that please everybody but finding the balance, that's the goal."
